I lose
I got beat the other day in the SLK. A late model trans am it looked like, not up to date on my f bodies. He was behind me at a light after I was headed back from chick-fil-a. Light turned green and I was accelerating normally, he hammered it and came around me and I tried to follow suit but he was already going by me when I floored it so he had a pretty good jump. I was able to stop him from pulling away but he already had a car on me and the red light brought the run to an end. I talked to him briefly and said he had headers/exhaust. Wanted to go again from a stop and when I was ready for it but I got stuck behind a red civic so that was the end of that.

Yeah it fun, but I was caught flat footed. Oh well. It was a pretty sad/funny race on my part as I also had my food on the passenger floor and I was holding the drink between my legs with my left hand because the SLK has the worst cup holders ever made. So I was trying to hold onto this coke to keep it from going everywhere and race at the same time which means I couldn't hit the gear selector to downshift. The sandwhich bag flew back under the seat when I hit the gas and when I hit the brakes it flew forward and came open and made a mess. Ah good times.

Your SLK55 must haul ***, have you done any modifications like powerchip or any other components?

. With those mods he mentioned (and if he had those, he had the more commone smaller ones too no doubt) he'd have been a high 12 second car with a good driver. So a decent match for a stock SLK55.
