I am supposed to take it to Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL tomorrow morning for some passes, but they are calling for a 60% chance of rain now, so we will have to see what happens.
That being said it was 73 degrees here yesterday and added 3 more kills to the list. 996 Carrera 4S (expressway roll-on 70-140), Ford Mustang Cobra GT 500 and a Honda CBR600 RR. The mustang was a real kill, we were on concrete and I actually hooked up..it was real bad, poor guy!

Too bad you're in the Chi...I would love to race your CLK. I tried running an M6 last night...he laughed at me and asked what I got. When I pointed to my car he went "I ain't f***in with that!" LOL. I also saw an E92 M3 and asked him for a friendly run just 'cause I was curious but he declined as well. Oh well...

I think you would be in for a rude awakening if you raced a modded GT500 or modded C6 Z06. These cars could easily put down 550-600rwhp. Even a properly driven stock Z06 should have put 7 car lengths on your stock ride.

Bottom line is the only car I have lost a race to was an SLR...in a roll on, and I held my own pretty well, it was not walking hard from me.

????? What Corvette Z06's have you been watching? I took my car to the track bone stock last fall and ran consistant 12.20's, there were a half dozen stock Z06's out ther running 12.10-12.20....how do you figure 7 lengths? You must have been lying to your wife all these years too! Time to go to Home Depot and invest in a new tape measurer. As for a 600whp vette or Mustang, I would call those both healily modded cars, you are not going to get that with bolt on stuff....maybe a bolt on supercharger!

You can make 600whp pretty easily with bolt ons in a GT500 (already supercharged stock)

Well I already beat an 11.7 second car when I was bone stock...
The CLK63 BS is an automatic car, of course it's easier to launch than a Z06. Give it the right driver and you'll see what its capable of. On a highway roll, I think theres a good chance the Z06 would take you...but who knows, your car seems to be undefeatable lol.

In the GT500, just change pullies, give it exhaust, injectors, intake, tune...should run 10's.

A GT500 will pretty easily get 550rwhp with a JLT CAI/tune and pulley. I was going to get one before the CL65. I will probably get one a year or two. It is a sweet ride. I am sure there are a ton of them out there (with just the mods listed above) that would make a certain fixated boy cry.

Got to say, stock vs stock a BS isn't touching the 3,200lb Z06. Different leagues. Just take Bobbi's run against an M5 as proof as he killed one of those and they will outrun HWY a stock BS when in three digits (note, JCart I said STOCK)
As for JCart's car vs a modded 65 i guess the proof would be in the pudding. I'm Renntech stageII (CF airbox), gears and LSD on my prev-body S-class. Got 18" drag radials included when I bought it (pre-modded with certificates, dyno graphs) 2nd hand so power does go down to the pavement. 900 foot pounds is quite the change alter-ego to my ///M3 . However, can't be a street racing so lets get renting another drag day

One problem with the stock Z06 is gearing. Falls flat on its face above 180mph maxing in the 190s. Delimited M's and AMG's can get their own back there though it'll need a long straight.
As for the original kill story- good run

I'll put this one to rest tomorrow, we have a bone stock 08 Z06 joining us as well as a the 07 Z06 with cat delete, exhaust and ECU tune going. I bet the stock one can even dip into the 11.00's, and he can drive, he races NHRA sportsman Nova.

I hear all this talk from people about "this car can easily make X amount of HP" could ah, should ah, would ah. I hear all this talk and never see anything to back it up. All I said was I beat a GT500 "spanked it actually" and we get all the experts saying this and that, well guess what, I don't know if it had 400 or 600 hp, nor do I care. The first car that hands me a legit smack down, I will be impressed. Further more, my car was not even built for drag racing, it is a road racing car, how many "600 hp GT 500's" do you think will beat me around a road course....let me help you all out ZERO!. I built a car that can do it all, drag race, road race and look great cruising down the blvd.
There is alway going to be someone with a faster car...I just have not run up many yet. The only car that has beat me was an SLR doing roll-ons and I held up better than expected.
Here is a list of the cars I have beaten
Ferarri F430 0-100
Bently Continental GT convert (Frank Thomas) 55-150
CLK 63 Black Series 1/4...by 10 lengths...5-6 times in a row
CLS 55 0-120
Ford Mustang GT 500 -120....real bad
BMW M5 1/4 mile when I was stock by 2 lengths
Porsche Carrera 4S 70-140 or so
Corvette C5 Z05 1/4 mile (I was stock)
My own Lingenfelter CTS-V...real close CLK by a nose
My own Dinan M3 not even a race (I was stock)
Corvette C6 Z06 1/4 mile by a nose (I was stock)

Look, I really didn't mean for my first post in this thread to inflame you to the point of writing what you previously wrote. I think you have a great piece of machinery there. I am sure it is a wickedly fast ride. I just think given a better driver of the stock C6 Z06, it should have put alot more distance on your stock CLK63 BS. A stock C6 Z06 should rival an SLR (I am not saying beat it)...although the SLR should be able to easily repeat its times all day long without breaking a sweat ...whereas a Z06 driver would have to really work to repeat each perfect launch. A lightly modded GT500 will run into the low 12'sAll of this is speculation means nothing. I hope (really do) that you go out and run well tomorrow and post some excellent times. Although, you could learn to be a little less arrogant.

It's called putting your money where your mouth is...not arrogance. I'll even pay for your damn flight! Now, are you going to put your money where your mouth is or just sit behind your keyboard and type about fairlytales all day?
