How bout a 800rwhp vette vs a similiarly modded turbo busa(w a good rider)?

My buddy vs the 200mph Supra...you can hear the bike alongside the car until the very end where the car spins a rod

A bunch of super fast cars vs different bikes:

Yes, my 40 REAR WHEEL hp is going to make a difference because I only beat liter bikes from a high roll by about a car or so, so YES, it will make a difference.

Like you said, we can go back and forth all day and I am not about that. Once I get some vids up (of various bikes and various riders), I will make sure to shoot you a PM for your viewing pleasure..

From a dig, I agree. From a low roll (45 lets say), it will be close to about 110 and then I am gone (been there, done that). From a high roll, the 600 will be a little spec in my rear view mirror.

You beat them by a car length, thats it? So what happens when you run into a bike on the hiway&your only going, say 50mph&you know you'll get left for dead.Do you ignore the bike because you know the outcome is inevitable?...Or do you have a sign that you hold up to the window&show the bike that reads, " Please speed up to 80mph so we can race,I will lose otherwise"??

Ya,go take some vids...I'll do the same.Of course, yours will show you beating the bike&mine will show the bike beating the car...again,the point is moot.

Until your personal car walks this particular ZX-10 you really don't have any proof of what you say...but it's all good&I enjoy the occasional back&forth banter with Z06 owners like yourself

If ANYBODY ON THIS FORUM wants to run that ZX-10R(w 40k hard street miles no less) & has a WORTHY car to bring to the table PM me so we can get some footage

at 45 you're putting a 600 right in it's powerband in 1st gear. i get the strong feeling you've never raced a properly ridden bike.

Chiromikey&Ant,we all have fast bikes,we all now the outcome of these races...the 3 of us are here to keep it real for the bikes&let these peeps know whats up.
Because,we know how devastatingly quick a liter bike is when you put a rider like us onboard. You need alot of horsepower in a car to beat a 170hp&up liter bike....
Ant,being your one of my closest buds&very knowledgeable about fast cars(and one of the few who knows what kind of numbers that bike puts down at the track) after riding my '05GSXR-1k,you tell me what it will take to outrun that bike on the hiway.

Stock 600s really arent that fast. I can see a stock z06 taking one from a roll (60+)

i can see it being a driver's race.

stock 600's have run 9's in the 1/4mile with just straps on the front end. i ran 11.2 @ 128mph on a brand new bone stock '99 r6 with no burnout and soft launching at 3k rpms to baby the clutch. high 10's would have been easy if i wanted to actually launch it. and keep in mind, that's in az da.

from a dig, 45, or 60+mph...put a 600 in the right gear with a good rider and, although it can be done, it will take one hell of a car to beat it to 140.

it depends on what tire you had on the bike at the time rob. when i rode it, you had the stock bt-014 which is a terrible tire, and every time i would get on the gas in the lower 4 gears it would step sideways briefly, then hook up and shoot out. if you had a better tire, like a bt-002 pro or something, i would see a car needing 1000+rwhp to even hang with it, let alone beat it.

and whoever said a stock 600 isn't fast, you are mistaken. ricky gadson went 9.96 on a bone stock yamaha r6 a few years ago, and the 600's have just gotten faster and faster since then. you get a good rider on a 600 and it will handle a 600rwhp car, even from a roll.

what a lot of you are forgetting is that 90% of riders really don't know how to race. when you race from a roll, they are usually in a cruising gear, mid-range on the tach, because they think that just because they are on a bike they won't lose. then, the car walks out on them, and thinks they beat a bike, when in actuality they just beat a poorly trained rider.

take me or rob, put us on a 600, and i can bet the outcome would be very different.

OK I am mistaken I said it isn't that fast. So what I'm trying to say is it's very possible for a high hp car to pull a 600 bike from a roll. Yea they are fast in the 1/4 but I was talkin about a highway roll. Still, I could be wrong

600's are very gear-dependent when it comes to doing roll-ons.Typically a 600 w +4 teeth on the rear sprocket is whats needed to run competitively against a 500hp car.You need to be very hi up in the rpm range(12-13,000rpm)when the race begins. Also, the weight of the rider makes a huge difference when running a 600,typically a lightweight jockey(under 150lbs)is needed along with the gearing to pull the car.If you weigh 200lbs &u run your 600 against a car the odds are greatly against you...
But once the 600 tops out at 140+ish mph due to the short gearing the car will pass it like it's standing still.

Just raced a newer 600 the other night from a 50. ***** slapped it. Close from 50 to about 110, then it was all over for the bike. At 160, it was about 6 cars back.

As far as the liter bikes, I am very aware that they can beat me from a low roll. All I was saying is that from a high roll, they won't win. Good talking to you all..

chalk it up to a poor rider on the 600, and as far as the litebike thing goes, whatever helps you sleep at night...

Ok just finished reading this thread...

Rob, that bike is fast and all...I gotta give it praise for beating a 700+rwhp Vette BUT....has he ever challenged the almighty C63 AMG?

LOL

On a serious note, I have beaten 2 600cc bikes before at triple digit speeds.
Here are a few videos (please understand the quality is HORRIBLE). My brother was with me videoing the race, so I'm sure I would have done a little better without his 160lb addition.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZ2iim-FKB8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK5VdpV5NuI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhFY1sOlCUs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg_WuDfWrrY

They were very good races and I had nothing on the bike until the speeds started to climb. Then I would pull on the bike pretty easily. We ran eachother about 10 times that night and it was the same result every single time.

As far as stock 1000cc bikes go...I would NOT want to run against one. Rob has been bugging me at least once a week to race that ZX-10 lol...there really is no point as I'd get walked so bad I might be forced to sell my car and buy a 4 sec funny car LOL.

But whenever I get the free time and we can set it up, I'm sure Rob has a few bikes that'll put a hurting on me at all speeds.

So with your logic,if you were to both start at a 50 mph roll&the bike pulls on you hard, once you hit 85&above youd reel the bike in?
Yeah,sounds good....
I'll make sure to PM you with the shocking footage of the 85mph roll in bobby's Z06 vs.the stock ZX-10
