sorry but there is nothing impressive about a street bike, if anybody has grown up racin like i have, this impresses me, any idiot can go fast on the street but untill u can put it on the track and win you need to pipe down....

I'm going to respectfully disagree based on the evidence I myself witnessed. I was in edgewater that night, saw both Bobby's 600rwhp MONSTER of a Z06 and the liter bike in question. Bobby is a speed maniac, he doesn't like to lose, and that bike did him in. That's all the evidence I need man.
Jrcart: an E63 has NO chance against a good rider on a 1000cc bike. I doubt an E63 could run with a 600cc bike at any speeds (talking realistic speeds, not 160 rolls to 200...and even then, the E63 would have to be modded to be ungoverned after 155).
I'm not sure if I mentioned in another post, but I also went up against a 1400cc bike. That thing gave me a couple car length advantage and within 2 seconds it flew ahead of me like I was nothing.

Um, we're talking about street cars and street bikes here....more specifically, daily driven vehicles. Nice contribution though.

as somebody stated before you have to look at the power to weight ratio to compare bikes to cars, on average cars are 5x heavier than bikes thus a race between the 2 is null. lets say you have a 300lb bike with 400hp racing a 3500lb car with 700hp, and you guys are arguing the fact which is quicker

No, he is not full of it. I have a vast knowledge of motorcycles, far more advanced than my minimal knowledge of cars. I raced superbikes for a number of years. A 500whp car can reel in any liter class bike in a 120mph plus roll-on. Bike have superior power to weight ratios and from 0-120mph they are un-beatable by anything with 4 wheels, but from 120 north it's a different story. Aero plays a huge roll, bikes are not aero efficiant, a Cadillac Escalade is more aero efficiant than a GSXR 1000, ya, the bike looks like a bullet, but it's not, now factor in a riders head, elbows and shoulders sticking out into the wind and it's like a parachute above 140mph, no matter how small the rider and how well tucked in these things stick out there a little bit.
Can a Z06 beat a bike from 0-185....hell no, it would take miles for the car to catch the bike from a dead stop. But now do the same race, with the same vehicles but run them from 100-185 and see what happens, the outcome will suprise you.

Like Demon and Jcart said, and from the MUCH experience I have racing bikes ON A DAILY BASIS, a liter bike, stock or lightly modded will NOT beat a 520 rwhp Z06 from an 85+ roll. I have raced, and raced, and raced all kinds of bikes and the results are ALWAYS identical.

I could have the Pope himself post on this thread and they'd still be convinced that the liter bike will get pulled by a 530rwhp Z06...also, thanks for pointing out the fact that I actually wanted my car to win. If I were to lie or post up phony videos, it would be of my car beating his bike...not the other way around.

75 mph is a terrible start for a Z06. Too high in the powerband in 2nd and too low in powerband in 3rd. If you want to go from a 3rd gear roll, you got to go from ATLEAST an 85. Remember, and I know you know this, that 3rd gear goes to 125 in our cars, Bobby.

My car was making the power and I was shifting pretty decent (I didn't powershift because I was worried about losing traction but it wouldn't have made a difference). As you can see, I got pulled bad.
Maybe it's just like Jangy's experience with Z06's...they ain't all that fast

I will drive my 500 or so whp Black Series against any close to stock (pipe & a power comander is ok) GSXR 1000, ZX-10 or R1 or CBR 1000RR you can throw at me from 120-185 mph. The first one that can beat me I will pay $1000.00, but if I beat you you owe me $100.00. Yes, I'm so confident I am willing to bet my $1000 to your $100.

My god people, reading comprehension is a good thing ... REALLY.
Clearly the races are with different variables. One of the biggest is at which speed are the races started at and also when do they end.
There is a range from starting at 75mph to starting at 120mph. I'm not sure if anyone is clear on the ending mph except that most bikes can't go past approx 180+ without gear changes.
Why don't you all get on the same page first.

Bikes are silly fast 0-100, but north of 130 they slow down where a car keeps on pulling hard. Once the bike hits 160 it's like hitting a wall, the MPH grows very slowly after that point. It probaly takes longer for a bike to go from 150-185 than it does to go from 0-150, my Black Series has gone 206 mph, and she might have more, I don't hit my wall until about 190mph, then those last 15-16 mph take an eternity, but by that time I've already passed the bike.
Plus you guys are looking at this the wrong way, anytime you are gauging roll-on comparisons you need a stop watch and a radar gun or GPS device that tracks MPH. The car might not literally catch the bike before reaching 185, but it is going to reach 185 sooner, meaning in less ticks of the stop watch and in a shorter distance. If it takes the bike 20 seconds it might only take the car 18.5, but a side by side roll-on race is not a true accurate gauge.
Trust me one this one
....I don't need your buddies money, but if he insists I will gladly take it from him.
