WS6 Trans Am kill

OK, we are on our way to the Chevy dealer to pick up my wife's Monte Carlo which was getting a little noise repaired (very good car, it already has 30k miles and it has been back at the dealer only two times for warranty repairs (minor repairs) ) and we get to a light where there was a Trans Am waiting for the green light, i look at the guy and he looks at me,
then i tell my wife "he is teezing me"
she says "leave it alone, you have nothing to prove"
I say "yes I do, I need to prove to him he doesn't have a faster car than mine"
she says "you know that, that should be enough"
I say "but he looked at me like saying my car if faster than yours, and I can't allow that missunderstanding", while I'm saying that the light turns green, we both punch it hard and go on with the "race",
she is saying in the mean time "ohhh my god!!!"
i'm saying "let me just make my point"
The guy says "ohhhhh ****tttt" as I'm leaving him behind!!!!
By 120 mph my wife says "Ok, that's enough", I step on the brake and say "OK".

Another kill to the list, me was about 4 cars behind by then, hahaha.

LOL, that's the very same thing I thought, but then I realized he sees his mom and dad, so he has already gained some experience.

If this was a LS1 trans am, i will have to disagree....A LS1 trans am will run 13.0 - 13.2 with a good driver. I use to have a 2000 LS1 trans am and i ran 13.0 stock. Before i sold it, i was running 11.4 all motor.

A buddy of mine use to have a 2002 E55 (untill he wrecked it), and he raced my ta when it was stock, and i beat him. I can see you beating a LT1 trans am by 4 cars, but if this was a LS1, he dident have the pedal down all the way.

Here are pics of my old baby

Your car most've been on in a few, i've seen several LS1 WS6s at the track running 13.4s

I don't know if this one was an LS1, but I've for sure raced an LS1 and won, by a little but I've won. Now remember this is on the street, and they've been 18-20 year old kids, and I consider myself a pretty good driver (damn good driver)

Dont get me wrong, Im sure you have beaten a ls1....I know a E55 can beat a LS1, and I know a LS1 can beat a E55...They both avg the same 1/4 time, so it comes down to who is the better driver. I just know that a LS1 wont put 4 cars on a E55, but also a E55 wont put 4 cars on a LS1....It would be a close very good race. I think you raced a LT1, cause that u will put 4 cars on.

Good Race

It is easy to modify those LS1 engines, with $1k bucks you can get 40-50 hp easy!

Everyone knows that all sorts of things can and do happen on the street. I have a buddy that has been through 4 different LS1 Camaro SS's. The first one, a 1998 6-speed, could manage no better than a 14.0 at 102mph. We made multiple passes with that car against my OLD 5.0 TBird that was running identical 14.0s at 102mph. I beat him 7 of 8 passes and several people came over to see WHAT my old Ford had in it that was beating an LS1 SS. Now, his next one, a 2000 automatic, ran a best of 12.9 with just an air lid. He added a cat back, a TC and DRs and ran consistent 12.5's @ 108mph. If Poch was racing the 98... no problem, the 2000... problem. Now, different drivers, cars, conditions, who gets the jump, etc, etc... I actually held off an LS1 until the VERY end of the 1/4 in my... yup... 4.0 liter Lexus LS400!!! 0-60 I put over 2 car lengths on him... of course I kind of tree'd him while he slept

Sorry but i have to disagree with most of your post....The only part i agree on is there are bad drivers out there, and that is what it comes down to...But if your buddys LS1 was running 14.0 he could not drive very well at the track. A friend of mine has a 98 z28 and runs 14.1 at the track, and he let me take it down one night cause i have been drag racing for a long time, and i ran a 13.4 with it. It does come down to the driver, but no LS1 should run a 14 anything, just like no E55 should run 14's. If it did, it is cause of the driver.

Also, you said you beat a LS1 from a start by 2 cars...I really find this hard to believe, cause of the car you were driving....Mine and your car are the same speed, and there is NO way i can even touch a LS1...I really dont think the guy was pushing on the gas all the way hehe. I use to have a LS1 also, and stock it ran a 13.0 flat, and i had it go al the way to 11.4 then sold it That was a big mistake, i miss the damn thing.

Is your car running 13 2s or 13.1s like mine? All I've ever read from people racing their other E55s is 13.4s, yet the very first time I ran mine I ran a 13.34, and now.....wel, look at my signature.

Also it all depends on the driver, reaction to the green light (at the track or the street), wheel spining, etc. I gotta say I'm a pretty good driver and if I'm going to race someone I don't give them a head start or let them take off first (I know an LS1 has the potential to beat me if driven very well). I took off first and by the time we were doing 120 I was 4 cars ahead of him, may be more because "objects in the rear view mirros may appear closer than they are"

If you saw the front end of the t/a which you should have if you were that far ahead you should be able to identify which gen t/a it was and that will tell you if it was a lt1 or ls1

What's the difference? This one had the air scoop in the center on the front of the hood, not very raised
I remember seeing others with two big air scoops and a gap in the middle.
