My bros GTO is at the buddy shop for minor fender damage. So he gets a 08 Kia Amanti rental which comes with a 3.8L V6 264hp. The specs are it goes 0-60 in 6.1 sec. Pretty quick for a $35k Kia He tells me its going to be a close run with my C36. Not the case I destroy the Kia.

Yeah its quick. My bro rental was neck and neck with the new Altima coupe 3.5 V6 auto. But the sound system is the worst I ever heard!

i think the v6's in those cars are just rebadged mitsubishi v6's. The new genesis coupe and genesis sedans will have the hyundai made designed from the ground up engines.

I had a Hyundai Azera for a rental car once, and it had that 264hp motor in it. It actually wasn't too bad in the acceleration department. Overall, the car was very nice for the price. It did have a bit too much engine noise though. It definitely offers a lot of bang for the buck.

The engine is smooth but I would buy a Infiniti G35 sedan or the new Pont G8 sedan with 361hp V8 for $35k.

I'd go with a Hyndai Genesis with the 4.6 v8 over either of those two choices. It's faster, has more luxury, will be more reliable, and has a better warranty.

i saw the new genesis about a few months ago. It definately makes you do a double take. In my review mirror..you can swear it's a Lexus LS460 from the front. I honestly, thought it was a Lexus until it rolled up next to me and i saw the hyundai wheel caps.

I think it'll be a huge bargain as a dd if you buy these used 2-3yrs. Even new there a pretty good bargain.

The Genesis is around $40k same price as the Pont G8 GXP which has 420hp alot quicker then the Genesis. Also huge 15inch Brembo front brakes. Its performance oriented. Also GM has 5yr or 100k mile warranty. Which isnt bad. The Hyundai name just doesnt cut it

There different class of cars, the genesis is the same size as a lexus ls460 or bmw 7 series. Its suppose be comfortable and luxury.

I agree the g8 is a lot more performance oriented. The geneis is a luxury cruiser. i'm under 30, so the pontiac nameplate doesn't really seem much better then the hyundai one to me. You wouldn't really buy either car for the nameplate anyways.
