Best Kind of Kill

Last weekend I was up in Columbus and headed to dinner in lightly modded C32 AMG. It was German car night at the local shopping center and the place was littered with Mercedes, Porsche, BMW out the wazzoo. I have not seen so many AMG's in the same place since Miami Beach. Very cool. I was in the Red one if any of you cats were there. As I tool north on the 4 land access road, behind me I could see two youngsters in their E46 M3 (not the V8). It had a loud exhaust. They were working really hard to catch up to me. I was patiently waiting for them to do just that.

The light up ahead finally, changed but they were behind me. I could see the passenger pointing at the back of my car and mouthing the words, "AMG". Could not read lips well enough to see what the driver said. Light changed and I goosed it gentley off the line and then shifted right to give them space to move up. The next light changed and they lined up along side to my left. Looking forward to some innocent shenannigans, I switched off TC and got ready. Looked over at the Beemer driver and he looked away, gave a signal, tucked tail and turned left. Wot a PU$$IE

Sun Tzu would have smiled.
Thinking about it now - the BMW was a 4 door. Did they make a M3 4dr? I thought they were all coupes. Maybe he was a poseur in a 328 decked out with M3 badges, lol
Irish
Irish, what are your mods? you should put them in your sig...
either way, M3 or not, way to intimidate and impose fear and represent the MB nation lol.
I have never had the pleasure to race a real E46, but I figure that would be a good one. I saw the M badges but when I saw the 4dr I figured it was a 328 or 330i with M badges and a phart can exhaust. Most real M3's would not back down like that. We have a fellow bringing a 2008 E92 M3 to a track day event that I am attending in May. I have no delusions of out running him but it should be fun to play with.
My mods are few and simple: C3P intake and pulley, Red compound brake pads, Bridgestone Re50-PP tires, a little extra neg camber on the front. All else is bone stock.
