C230K vs. SL500
late saturday night my friend calls me up and tells me he has "the key to the SL" GREAT! i say, bring it over. (he has a 99 M3) Before he makes it to my house, i brought my coupe out to play around with and I met him along a long stretch of road. We drive side by side and he tells me how fast it is that he gets scared of floorin it. Nevertheless, he takes off and damn it looked fast. we drive side by side on another long stretch of road and i gun it and he follows. To my surprise I an get from 45-100 without him passing me. Soon as he hit fourth ALLLLLLLLLL that power came surging, it was a night and day difference. it was like i was braking hard and he was floorin it, cuz he all of a sudden crushed me. There was a silver C32 on this road and when i had passed the sl up i tried to provoke the driver...didn't work. The SL comes flying by both of us (3 lane road) and I try and catch up leaving the C32 behind.
never get to see how fast the C32 is compared to me. Anyways I get home and my friend tells me that my car is pretty fast, cuz everytime i floored it before him he couldnt catch up. I think his 99 M3 would crush the SL, maybe until higher end speeds, thats when the SL really shines
