Caymen S for Lunch

The other day, we met for lunch and then headed to his house which is at the end of a long two lane with no cross streets. We're sitting at the last light before the long straight with me sitting behind him and when the light turns he casually accelerates away and then nails it. Caught me by surprise as I wasn't expecting it so he got a good jump on me and pulled several lengths between us before I got into the throttle and went after him.
Started to reel him in immediately after I got down shifted and into the proper gear and had to let off at about 130 to keep from running into him. He said he thought something was wrong with his car when he saw how fast I was closing on him from behind. The faster we went, the faster I was closing.
Truthfully, I thought it would be worse for him but those Caymens are faster than I thought. Nothing to brag about but thought I'd share.
Gotta pick the right car for the driving conditions and a 500 HP 4-door sedan works just fine here.
I used to work in Orlando and a Porsche was a pure waste of a good car in that traffic. E55 is quicker than most Porsches anyway and can take your friends and their luggage along for the ride.
