Sord of a kill: my w210 AMG e55 vs IS350
Hi guys
I dont know if this would qualify as a Kill but here its is...
Im getting off the Highway following an IS350 thinking to myself "nice looking car" I had no racing on my mind at all. Just happened to be, that light at the next stop light turned red and we both line up, still Im not thinking to race since its not very often that ppl challenge my car here in South Dakota
mainly I think because ppl have no clue what AMG is maybe and just think its another Mercedes,, or maybe our cars look less aggressive since no dual exhaust plus a four door.
Either way,, we start off the line, guy steps on it and I quickly realize its on, with a little delay I follow, at around 20 mph IS350 slightly pulls maybe by 3 ft or so I think cause he had a slight jump on me, at around 50 mph I start gaining back the lost 3ft and by 70 I start pulling slightly ahead at which point there is no more room to race so we shut it down..
SO here it is... Im just so glad my car wasn't throwing a fit like it did for the last few month by subtracting power until I reset the ecu...

for all of you who are unfamiliar with the IS350, it runs 13s and keeps up with the C32 and W210 E55. keeps up does not mean is faster than, but a slight jump for a car of similar abilities is all it takes for something like this to occur.
in an even race with no jumps, the W210 should pull a little more on top, but by no means walk away from an IS350

yes. they are very nice cars...most people are surprised at how quick they actually are...yah, they are a bit common, but nice nonetheless. the IS250 (if you've ever driven one of those) is slow as ballz though. i'd never drive one. i mean, it is REALLY bad. such poor acceleration IMO, that it is almost unsafe

GTR is nice, but i've moved on. you cant launch it without voiding the warranty (at least not more than 5 or 6 times). any mod not provided through nissan will void the warranty. and they lose steam up top. i'd rather have a ZR1 or even a C6Z06 than a GTR.

02 CLK 55 AMG,09 C63 loaded with P30
Well the new 2010 GTR no more launch control. Also the C6 Z06 is rear wheel drive. Bad traction issues unless you have drag radials. Come on bonestock 2010 GTR runs mid 11s @120+all day. Z06 are dime a dozen looks like a regular C6. GTRs are rare only 2k a year.
