Anyone here: C63 vs. my C6 Vette Z51 Convertible 6-speed
The C63 actually gave me the most competition out of any car I've ran. I was just cruising with the Top Down in the Vette tonight when these two kids (looked like they were in high school) roll up on my drivers side and yell out if I want to run it. I gave them a nod, downshifted to 2nd at 50, gave 3 honks and we were off (road was wide open). I immediately pulled out 1/2 car, but he stayed pretty close with me. By 120 mph, I was only able to pull about 1 and 1/2 cars on him. I was shocked. I was starting to gain on him a bit quicker after 110, and if I had the Top Up and he didnt let off, I probably would have pulled more, but I was impressed for a sedan ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Top down killed your perf big time....Given the curb weight advantage in the C6 vs C63 w/pimple riddled pilots, you should've easily pulled more lengths unless they had a tune, the C63 is neutered in oem form.

Seems like an outcome I would expect, but that Top-end LS3 (I am assuming LS3) power is good til the brick wall of fifth gear after which the C63 might actually start slowly pulling back.

It looks like he was stock. I raced my friend c6 LS3 coupe from 50 2nd gear to 120 i pulled on him by 1 car. That was when my car had a tune only.

BTW, my Vette is 100% stock (performance wise)

stock limited to 155mph. I did 200mph in my c63 i have headers and tune and it felt here is more.

Didn't know C6's 4th ended at 150, I thought your gears stoped a little earlier than the Z06's.

07 LS2 Z51 MZ6 (bought new)....personal best 1/4 mile at Englishtown of 12.38 @ 115.86. The LS2 is not that much slower down the track than the LS3 for whatever reason (especially when modded). With the vette, its truly all about the driver ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
The Z51 has the same 3.42 rear end and gearing as the Z06. Z51 vs. non-Z51 is about a 0.2 sec difference in 1/4 mile.

Nice times. LS3s are 116-118mph similar conditions, correct? With your top down, I would have assumed the C63 would do a little better, but very plausible.
