C63-tuned vs 440 stroker motor jeep srt-8
Today in Mexico ran this guy with a 440 stroker motor Srt-8 520whp runs low 11s. From a 2nd gear roll to way up top it was a close run. But I started to pull way up. Funny thing is I told him I have a tune now his response was "you need alot more then that". The run was just epic.

The guy with the Jeep does not know how to race his vehicle, I owned a 2008 SRT 8 Jeep for two years before I got my E63, the Jeep destroys almost everything OFF THE LINE, but when you get up to speed the weight slows it down. I would not race him from a stand still, the AWD on the Jeep makes it really easy to launch with almost no loss of traction. It's a great stoplight to stoplight racer.

It was funny when after the run he couldnt take me with his heavily modded Jeep-he yelled at me to go from a 1st gear roll. With his MT tires vs my A/S tires

Plus I had the Short tires with 18lbs of air and a 4.20 gear ratio, I would top out at 156. We raced from 40 so he wouldnt spin at least 4-5 times and I was in front every time. I couldnt take video he should have he had a better view from in back!!

I will probably get smoked by both cars, but I'm curious as to how I'll do.
135i 6MT, Procede @ 17.5 psi, intake, catless downpipes, intercooler, meth -- stock midpipes/exhaust.
Only reason I don't want to run Jon is because 1 car length win turns into two, a two car length loss is "close" and I won't ever hear the end of his **** from him if I lose. Anyways, he claims he beat a '10 E63 by 5 car lengths with the tune. perhaps the owner of this E63 would like to chime in (Albert).

The way I remember it was at 40 we took off and I was ahead by like 3 feet and than on my rear quarter pretty much the whole way. I never said I ran away just that you never were in front and when I let off (car ahead) you were not about to pass me. Dont worry, I will video it.

From you posts, you certainly make it sound like you won the race. No way is your C63 anywhere near low 11s with just a tune.
That jeep would smoke you every single time in a 1/4 mile race. Without question.
Now, if you're talking top speed runs, yes your C63 would eventually catch and pass him. And that's only because his truck is obviously setup for 1/4 mile with 4.20 gears. It's not setup for top speed runs.
On a side note, why do the two time slips above, show two different car numbers?

+1 that's what I was wondering about the car # as well, also it takes an act of god to run the same ET twice, and the same 60ft, and the same 1/8, and the same 1000'... hmm.
what Jon fails to realize because he doesn't understand or he's too dense to realize is gearing plays a huge role in any sort of rolling start run. The Jeep runs out of steam up top due to the gearing, but it will absolutely destroy a C63 off the line.
I ran an Evo X once, he would cut off at 120 mph each and every time because his 5th gear is so tall and start from a 20 roll, out of my car's powerband and strengths. Heck, 135/335's only roll from a 60 sometimes because they will light their tires up in 2nd gear. I have Dunlop Z1 SS's, so I can handle a 40 roll no problem, but for a lot of cars, 40's a weak starting point. From a dig or any roll starting in 1st gear, I need my drag radials or it's not happening.
This is why the quarter mile and 60-130 is so prevalent in regards to measuring acceleration performance. Too many variables with gearing to make a fair assessment.

Its hard to tell when your in front trying not to hit cars in front of you.

So, are you saying that your C63 is quicker than his Jeep?
