Don't forget how non-enthusiasts drive (or don't drive). My brother, a respectable family man probably hasn't floored a car he has driven in a decade. Nor open the hood. They are out there, and they are among us every day.
We should send them all to Antarctica to get them the heck out of our way

Im a big fan of the w210 e55 STILL but even with the mods no way it will hang stock vs stock given both cars are running at full potential. Ive run modded E55's stock and ive gotten destoryed and ive beaten C63's and E63's. No even slight chance of that w210 hanging with a modded 55.

BUT the OP is stating "his race" and I believe it might be a failed pump also because I have experienced it 1st hand.

The w211 guys I guess are trying to hint out dont think you'll encounter E55's and think you will pull on them. I believe this as well.

Good run !
It might be a failed pump, but if that was the case, the W210 would have pulled hard. My I/C pump failed, and the car wouldn't get out of it's own way.

I'm guessing it was an E550 with AMG badging or, that the E55's transmission didn't downshift to the lowest gear.

A kill is a kill, I suppose.

You see the thing is when you have a failing IC pump your car is not running full potential wether the s/c turns off or not. Ive experienced this first hand and Ive raced a C63 and a modded 335 w/ failed pump and my car woud not hold up so well. I changed the pump and my car was running much harder.

Both drivers of the opposing cars noticed the difference in how fast my car was the 2nd time around.

E55 AMG, CL65 AMG, S8, S6, E30 M3, Z3MC
If I were to guess, he was a re-badged E500.

I know we're beating a dead horse here, but w210 55 is no where close to a w211 55k.
