my 'ol 220 s65 and a 2010 cl65

*My car has the ECU upgrade from Jerry at Eurocharged*

I was coming home from work the other day when I came across a brand new, beautiful white cl65 behind me.....it almost appeared as if he was trying to determine if I was in a 55 or a 65 before he instigated anything. Then suddenly, he nails it and to go around me and by the time I got into it he was a full car ahead.....then, once the 220 got under boost and got close to triple digits I started to reel him in at a pretty good pace. We both had to get out of it about the time I had made up a full car length and was right beside him.

Once we were out of some light traffic he got in the center lane and waited for me to get next to him. I put my car in 3rd and tried to keep it between 80-85mph as I approached his driver side to line 'em up.......he clearly was doing the same thing. The second my front bumper got to his rear, he nailed it and got the jump on me (from about 80)....this time there's no one in front of us for about 2 miles. I nail it and by the time were at 100-110 Im right beside him, at 120-130 I was half a car ahead, by about 145 I was 1-1.5 car lengths ahead. We brake and he gives me a thumbs up and I have to exit......we we're both smiling like two kids at the local circus.

So, from about 80-145 I made up a full car length and put another 1-1.5 on him. It was the first time I've ever, ever ran anyone in a Benz that knew what the hell they were doing and that clearly appreciated the raw torque/hp of the Bi-turb like I do. And, it was the first chance I've had to go up against another 65 and see the "real world" results from my ECU upgrade.....needless to say, I was impressed as I was passing him up

That CL is one fiiiiinnnnneee car.....Hats off to the gent in the CL with paper plates that wasn't afraid to break her in properly . It doesn't get any more fun than that. And, it based on tailpipes it was a 2010- not a 2011. Thanks to Jerry at Eurocharged for his continued help and improvements to my ECU. My car may look outdated, have 80k miles on it and have 4-doors, but make no mistake......it halls azz. .

Very nice! Kind of a rare occurrence to match up 65 on 65.

The W216 CL65 has kind of grown on me, but I can't get past the fact that it weighs about 50lbs more than your W220 S65...but without all your extra space!

+1. However, any "65" is a car I would like to own. They are all understated future-classics.

My problem stems from the fact that I owned an '05 W215 CL65. It had the same exact powertrain as the W216 CL65 but weighs 300lbs less. If they had done something to upgrade the power to make up for the weight gain, I would have definitely been tempted to get one.
