W210 E55 vs ISF

and was leaving my friends house last nite. So I then decided to do a little bit of spirited driving that nite lol. I hit the freeway and did a few nice pulls to remind me why I love this car. Nothing WOT but just enough to feel the power with the high revs. As I'm getting off the exit I see a black ISF getting ready to go on the highway, so of course I follow him. I catch up to him and we do a few pulls. We go from 50mph after 3 honks and I thrash him lol. I brake to let him catch up and then we do it again except from 80mph. Smashed him again hit about 150 before I brake to let him catch up. We rolled once more at 60, same outcome. I was def feeling good knowing that my 10year old car still has it. Btw my car is not stock.

Top speed (governor limited): 155 mph
More than fast enough to give a stock 55k car a good run.
Now, if we look at the W210 E55 (i.e. the OP's variety):
C&D specs/test results for 1999 E55 AMG:
Zero to 60 mph: 4.9 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 12.1 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 22.4 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.1 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.5 sec @ 105 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 158 mph
Note that the 210 takes nearly as long to hit 130 as the 211/IS-F take to hit 150; if memory serves, Motor Trend tested the W210 at around 34-35 seconds to 150. That's a huge gap and translates to buslengths up high, where large horsepower differences show up the most dramatically.
By raw numbers, we see that there's about a one second/10 mph trap difference, which at roughly 10 hp/mph gain in 1/4 mi means OP would have to gain around 100 hp over stock to *tie* an IS-F, and to pull it like he's describing up past 150 mph would take even more.
ECU and exhaust aren't gonna get you even close to that ballpark. We're talking spray, blower, or serious internal engine mods to hit these numbers.

ISF 416hp therefore OP still need about extra 70hp.

Good win either way but he wasnt racing or was scared- which could definitely be the case. But if you line up apples to apples you will need a lot of help to beat it. Maybe it was an IS350 with the F Sport package?
But putting that aside, we're talking well beyond the 1/4 here: you said you waxed him up past 150, and the only way to do what you're saying you did is if you've got a blower, are running spray, or have had basically a complete rebuild with some unknown-to-me aftermarket internals that would give you over 100 hp over stock. Physics is physics, and to move that car that much faster over stock would take that much power. To pull an IS-F at those speeds would require that much power. Period.
Outside of it being an IS350, the only other possibility is that the guy was just basically a total moron, made several collossal mistakes, and made them repeatedly over the course of not one, not two, but three consecutive runs, which would take a very rare breed of moron indeed.

I'm never a magazine racer, nor do I doubt your story. As Improviz says though, physics is physics. I almost got an IS-F and got to drive it around a track. It's one helluva fast Toyota haha (sounds amazing too!)
