E55 vs E60 M5 at dragstrip
So, I'm at the track a few months ago and I'm letting my car cool down before I make my first run. I'm standing around the staging lanes talking to some people when this guy walks by us talking about how he was cruising to the track on the interstate at 180mph and actually reached over 200mph at one point. . . . I'm like wtf ever !
Long story short, it turns out he was driving his newly acquired M5. I notice that he's letting cars go around him so, he'll be staging right beside me. We line up and I smoke him. Nothing exciting, it wasn't even close so, I think no more of it. Later on, I'm standing there watching other cars run when I hear somebody say, I have to tell you, "I hate your F%#*ing license plate". Then, I realized who he was and I said "Oh, I forgot all about that thing" which I honestly did. Then he goes on to blame the bad beat on his launch control. He turned out to be okay just completely full of $h!t is all.

Comming from a m6 to my e55... Other than the intoxicating sound that s85 v10 makes, m5/m6 have nothing on the 55k's...
Have eatin so many Ms in my neck of the woods, its not even funny. M5 modded was running 12.7-13.1s at the track this summer. My brothers STOCK cls55 was running 12.5-12.7s. Go figure. (similar traps, 60's)
M's are junk
any videos on youtube that are from m6board.com... This fellow Gustav likes to rig races fyi.

I usually run a 12.0xx @ 120ish. Not sure what he ran. At this track they rip the time slips in half instead of printing two separate ones for each car.
So they say but capable of and actually doing are two different things. Maybe on an airstrip under ideal conditions but certainly not on a crowded interstate at 5pm.
