Ooooh! Buuuurn! Exactly, you are correct. People cannot discount out modified cars of any kind including BMW 335is which can be modified to be faster than any stock M5/M6.

Not every Subaru STI or 335i one encounters will bone stock...

Even a Mk.1 older Nissan GTR will put a good beating a stock M5/E55 AMG. But with those mods, the race is a lot closer and the modded AMG/M will pull on a stock GTR MK.1 only up top. Barely.

Impressive to me? Sort of. Not really but it's something to show that even those mods can open up a N/A V10. Headers especially open up the most power along with a good tune. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's only a N/A V10. It's been years since it came out and there are now a good number of tuners and good boltons for it.

It looks like around 50-60 hp pick up from that video alone.
This video is from GTboard/M5 board what do you think who will win ??? it looks like 50-60 hp ?? assuming ??? We all know GTboard videos are not even fair or REAL race ! get real and get the f@ck out of here.

I am a huge car nut and have been since I was a young kid. Am I annoying here to you and some people (NON car enthusiasts who are only biased towards their AMGs) who hate anyone outside the norm? Maybe...

But know one thing, I am just stating my point/opinion and do not wish for any strong backlash. I love all cars/makes and I just look and the facts and real world results. I am a member of both BMW M and this board and lurk NAGTROC.org

Why? Because I see a 2013 Nissan GTR in my future with full bolton mods etc. Will I then make fun of you if I see you out there and smoke the hell out of you in your AMG? No! I will give you a and say "Good day and what a beautiful car!"
Who care about your mom own an AMG ?!?!?! do you own one ??? do you own any AMG/M/RS/GTR ????? NO ! stop arguing about something you don't even OWN. Your daddy has M5 so ? do you have one ? I have own E39 M5 few years ago and E55K for last 3 years + W210 E55 so I know very well M car and AMG.

Lets not only compare speed, you can't compare Mercedes build quality safety and comfort to Subaru. If you want real speed, you can get a GTR with mod for 8.9 sec 1/4 mile.

There is nothing wrong with Subarus quality, hell I bet they even rank up there with quality of build. The only thing is that Subarus tend to have less *****s inside driving.

NO You don't get it at all. Let me ask you how much cost GTR 2013 ??? $100K ??? I paid both of my AMG for $45K how about that ?! my mod are about $3K so total not even $50K for both of my AMG. M5 was 6 years ago and paid $20K. Let me ask you how much did you pay for your Mercedes ??? how much you paid for your STi with Mod ???? Its all about personal preferences.

I am not saying anything wrong about Subaru, just saying the build quality and safety are not as Mercedes. IMO, Mercedes is build safer than Subaru.

Your right about one thing the Mercedes does feel more solid but at the same time I never felt unsafe in my Subaru. I am actually in the process of selling my STi to get a 2006 AMG E55 as my toy car, but I know that its not the fastest thing on the road.

No you don't get it. A car enthusiast can be excited about cars in general but criticizing or comparing cars that do not even own its different. I love cars but i won't talk about Ferrari or Lambo because i don't own one or never have experience with them. I can not judge how they perform because again no experience with them.

06 E55 is not the fastest thing on the road but you will get the safety and comfort for longer drive. Handling is not as good as STi since E55 airmatic sucks. Its very different kind of car comparing STi and E55 but sure you will love it. 06 E55 is one of the most reliable E55 for only about $25K ! Good luck.

And by your definition of "car enthusiast", I STILL qualify as one since I do have experience with ALL of the cars I talk about! Even if they weren't mine! Even the Nissan GTR as my neighbor had one 2 years back with a midpipe and tune. He let me take for a quick highway spin and boy did it fly.

And did I criticize any car out there? I never did here. Ever. But you on the other hand have. All the time.

And I just look at the results from GTboard. I didn't say they were credible or false. They're just results. They obviously have some very questionable races in their past but just look at past some of that. Look at the ones that aren't BMW vs MB etc. That's it. And if you read and took my post in context AGAIN properly, then you would realize that I wasn't supporting either the BMW M5 modded or the GTR... In fact, it took all those boltons to barely pass a stock Mark 1 GTR where it only takes a tune, pulley, and headers for an E55 AMG to easily pull that GTR topend. That's less money and more easier mods overall than the M5. Does that make me a supporter of GTboard? If I were a biased two faced supporter, I'd be preaching about how an BMW M5 with just an exhaust and tune can do that to a GTR...

.

Seriously, I tried being nice and civil with you and your response isn't cool. Ever heard of the saying "treat others like how you want to be treated"? Guess not.

Having experience doesn't mean you know those cars.
