Tint?
So there is a deal going on at a local tint shop that uses solar guard platinum tint. They will tint all the side windows and the rear window for $160! That I am amazing deal considering all the other shops quoted me at least $300! Now my question is what percentage should I get? I have always wanted to get 5% but I question getting it just because it's hard to see out of at night. From what I have hard though you start to get use to it. The guy at the tint shop recommended 20% but he had it on his car and it had black interior and I dont think it is going to be as dark as I want it considering I have tan interior. Does anybody have any pictures of a CLK with tint and especially 5% tint? Thanks!

There's no "getting used to it". You won't be able to see out the back at night. I had 10% back and sides on my Vette. I got pretty adept and dropping both windows and using my mirrors. You wouldn't think that'd be a big deal - but tell that to the woman in the evening dress sitting next to me with rain dripping on her. I ended up dropping close to $400 to have the whole thing redone to 35% (MO's legal limit).
I'm not trying to talk you out of it (it looked cool as hell), but it was a nightmare of practicality.

I have always tinted 35% all around except windshield and I love it. Sometimes I wish it were a touch darker, but 35% serves its purpose so well with heat rejection, privacy, and visibility.
