Although I've had quite a few kills in the car, perhaps the funniest was sun. night. I was cruising on I-696 east toward van dyke by woodward. A blue modified WRX with BBS rims and coffee can exhaust came bellowing up next to me slowing from probably around 100 to 65. As he paced me, I could hear the school bus sound of the blow off valve. Instigating a race, the WRX driver would speed to 80 then return to pace. Finally thinking I wouldn't budge, he takes off. I am left behind a malibu going about 70.

I see and hear the car still on full acceleration go about 100 yards ahead. Thinking of a new race, I hit the S/C/M button on the shift area, slowly move into the left lane, drop it to 3rd with the touch shift, and just hit it.

had the windows and roof closed, so all I see are the white lines starting to blur with a aggresive exhaust muffled lightly. What a great feeling! I love the sound of the E55, yet it's comfortable enough that I could still hear the WRX about 175 yards ahead! By around 100, I'm starting to match pace. At around 120, something strange happened. His car seemed like it hit a trampoline in the middle of the road! His car seem to slingshot back towards my car! I pass him around 145 with him looking as though he hit reverse!

The incredible thing about the car is how much it keeps pulling around 120+

I pull off at a ramp and he follows. As I pull over a parking lot, we talk for a bit. His supposedly runs Mid 13's. He just couldn't believe how much I pulled. He said that he thought he hit reverse gear when I passed. He said he saw my headlights dip up after I passed the Malibu, and he had it floored the whole time.

Although not a fair race, It was great to come from behind to show the E55's tailpipes making him think he was going in reverse.

Hey, maybe you could put about 20 hp onto your E55 with those coffee-can exhausts.
