996TT vs. 996NA (no shocker here)
Pull up behind a very nice 996 carerra (coupe, non-turbo) at a stoplight. The light has a long sweeping turn onto a 4-lane road known as a playground for fast cars. The light turns green and the guy goes thru the turn at a only moderate pace. Just as I'm getting disappointed, the 996NA guns it (god, I love the sound of any 911) and I pull out in the second parallel lane and do likewise. As expected I pull away but I have to say it was much less of a contest than I expected.
This was most interesting to me because the 996NA (2002+ especially) is generally considered fairly close to my other car, a C32, and the 996TT is fairly close to the 211 E55. I have always wondered just how bad the C32 would lose to my 996 or an E55 and I think I have the answer: very badly.

I simply enjoy beating a 911 with a 4 door sedan.
