E55 vs Dodge SRT-4
It was late and I wanted to take out my W211 E55 for a spin before going to bed. So I was just kinda doddling along on the freeway. It wasn't too busy and the path ahead just cleared up. A little ahead of me and to the right though I saw a little Dodge that had dual exhausts. I figured it was an SRT-4 but I didn't think much else.
I sped up a little just for myself. I wasn't planning on racing. However, in my rear view mirror I saw that the Dodge was trying to keep up. Heh heh... not for long. I just eased down a bit on the pedal and I was zooming past 120. The lights in my rear view mirror got smaller and smaller so I decided to slow down. He came up by my side and we evened out at around 70. He then inched ahead and appeared to floor it since he was pulling away. I was still at 70 but then squished the peal under my foot. Bye bye again. When I was at 130 I slowed down and waited for him.
He was up by my side again and gave me a thumbs up. I gave him a thumbs too. I guess he just wanted to know how much he'd get beaten by.

Probably because the Neon SRT-4 would toast your CLK 320 as well as your Acura, assuming they are both stock like your sig says. It would give your MR-2 a hard time. Car & Driver ripped a 13.9 out with a 2003 and the 2004's are supposed to have a little more, like 5-10hp. Go out and have fun with any other car you want. I wouldn't hesitate to blow the doors off of a AMC Gremlin if the guy wanted to race and it was in good fun like the E55's race. What would you race in your 15sec cars?
LOL ,why would you want to race a dodge for anyhow unless it was a viper?I won't waste my time in my clk or acura TL.Hey but its your car,JUst my 2 cents..

i have a 91 civic hatch that will give the new srt-4 a run for his money....cant wait to roll up to one on the streets....just an ls-vtec w/ high comp, all motor baby!!! and daily driven 100 mi. roundtrip

Hell, I've thought about sitting outside the Ferrari dealership and just waiting to race someone who just bought a new whip. If you can smoke my car, then you're damn damn fast and I want to see that.

before my honda got stolen I'd run circles over all your cars including the amg.I raced a 95 viper before and lost by a couple of cars.That was in my honda.But now that I am older and relized that racing on the street is nothing but dumb!!!Have you ever had a person died in your hands after a street race???My point is why waste the time running some that cost oh 50K+ less then an amg.What would I race in my 15 sec cars,ummm NOTHING.Time has come to grow up for me so no more racing..

LOL...so you got beaten by a '95 Viper, which FYI tested at 5.0 seconds 0-60 and a 13.2 1/4, by two carlengths, and yet you'll walk all over the new AMGs, which will equal or beat the tested time of a '95 Viper? Here's a listing for you with 0-60/1/4 mile times:
C32 (5.0/13.3), CLK55 (4.9/13.2), CL55(4.5/12.5), E55(4.3/12.4)
So, you were 2/10 slower than the 5.0/13.2 Viper, but you'll walk all over the AMGs, eh? Whatever...
Have a look at what a stock AMG will do: AMG E55 vs heavily modded '03 Cobra videos
C32 (5.0/13.3), CLK55 (4.9/13.2), CL55(4.5/12.5), E55(4.3/12.4)

.But racing a neon(turbo or not) with a benz 55It's like racing a geo metro.My mods for my mr2 is a test subject for the mr2 boards on how long a stock 91 mr2 engine with 149K will last with full 17psi of boost on a stock block.Yes I admit I would race everyone and thier moms in my civic but after seen a friend fly out the window during a street race I had enough of it(or you can say scared straight)

Yes,I gotten beat by a viper,never gotten to race it again after I built the engine up and slapped on the turbo kit,2 days after I gotten it tuned the car got stolen.But yes at a budget of 8k for engine build-up/turbo and tune,it will smoke any AMG with money on it.As many turbo charged hondas that are out thereI can't believe you guys still doubt them. I've seen the video before and yes the benz 55 are fast as sh$T.Don't get me wrong I will take a Benz 55 over a honda or almost any car.Enough about little whinne hondas.

I have seen some pretty quick modded Hondas, some in the 11.9 range...
...but that wasn't my point: my point was that if a '95 Viper would pull *your* ex-Honda by two lengths, then your ex-Honda would not take out the current S/C 5.5L (or the TT 12) Benzes, because all of them are faster in both 0-60 and 1/4 than the '95 Vipers: the '95 Vipers were 5.0/13.1 0-60/1/4 mile cars, and all of the current S/C 5.5L (or the TT 12) Benzes are faster than that, in the low-mid 4 second range 0-60, and the mid-hi 12 range in the 1/4 bone stock.
And shoot, if you mod the Benzes, fuggeddabout it. Remember: those 12.3's the new E55's are pulling are done on stock 265mm width rear tires, with traction control *on*. If you turn the traction control off, they'll just sit there and spin, which will kill their times. If you could get enough traction (phatter drag radials would help!) to launch those puppies with the traction control *off*, they'd be hitting high 11's all day long, bone stock, and with a few mods would easily be in the mid 11's.

I would bet that most people that own a 2003 E55 or similar car probably didn't buy the car to take their mother to the grocery store on Sundays. My point is, whether you drop 70G's on a fast car or spend endless hours modding your car to be fast, like you have done a few times, you may as well have a little fun. I'm not talking about weaving on a freeway doing 140 in rush hour, just some innocent fun with someone who reciprocates.

You guys realize that there are such things as "sleepers" right? Your attitudes that "I'm better than you" is going to get your *** whooped by a Civic one day. Give me a Civic Si and 10k and I'll beat Vipers all day long without nitrous. Your headlights will be in the back of MY mirror. I don't have a Si or anything but I'm just trying to get my point across. Just because you drive a better car doesn't make you any better than anyone else. 
Remember. There is always someone faster out there. Well, besides the fastest guy which you definitely are not. Don't think all high and mighty about yourself just because you drive an E55. A 12 second Civic is just as worthy an opponent as a 12 second Viper.
