Ricekill!!
so I catch a light with a new subaru wrx that's
all " juiced" up- exhaust, lowered, chip, aftermarket turbo, decals, the whole 9 - and supposedly "nitrous"- but I'm sure he didn't use it. they look over- typical "kids" in their early 20's, so my wife and i agree it's time to switch to manual mode. it's about 30 degrees out, but i lowered my pressure to 28psi in the tire, so I should be ok, right? i thought for sure that their AWD would at least get the jump on me, BUT...... the light goes green, I "roll" on the throttle as gently as i can w/o spinning, jumped ahead about 10 feet- his front end is at my rear wheel, i hear his turbo and blow-off valve as if it was an inch away from my ear. As soon as i hit 3500 rpm, i feel the tcs going, the rear tries to break, but stabilizes-- all the way to 100mph- that's where we stayed. - i took him by almost a full car-WITH traction breaking. Oooooh - I can't wait for the warm weather. the funny thing is that i never had the pedal on the floor, only about 3/4 the way. they followed me for about 15miles, i let them by and they gave me the "cool" nod. Another feather in my cap...
