86 560 SEC AMG body Euro VS 01 Integra Type R
Decided to give my friend a phone call after the club and he asked me if Iwanted to race. I said sure and went out to a local McD's to met him in the parking lot. Got lost looking for him in his Dakota R/T which is what I thought I was racing, but he was wit his buddy in an Integra Type R. They challenged me to race the Type R. I asked him his mods and from what I could see outside, he was stock including the exhaust. He has VTEC controller, Intake and headers. I said sure and told them to do it from a roll on the HWY and he accepted. I was getting pretty confident.
We hit the HWY and slowed right down to 25MPH and did a 3 honk start. I switched from E to S on my auto and shifted to the bottom of the gate getting ready to go. 1....2....3GO! GUNNED IT and he started to pull on me, hoping that I was going to get him in the top end, I accidently shifted up past my next gear and he was gone.
We had a remtach. Did the same thing again accept this time with no mishift. He ATE ME alive! I was in AWE! :o I didn't start cathcing him until past 140MPH where he was starting to die down, but he was already like 10+ car lengths away!
We ran it again and I said we do it from 60MPH and same outcome. I was getting punished big time! He also had 1 passenger in the car too!
One last run from 85MPH and same outcome! Although his top end is week. I noticed me catching him slowly when I shut it down at about 155MPH. He was TOO far away for me to catch up.
I thought he must have had NOS or something else he wasn't telling me about. He told his car dies at 140MPH though. He's planning on taking it out to the track t osee what ti will do. We are all curious to see.
That happend about a month ago and now the timing is fixed on my car and I had realized that I had started off in 2nd gear as well and that my car has some throttle issues where the throttle only opens 3rd of the way.
Planning on a remtach once i'm running 100%!

NO OFFENSE MENT BUT...
This Forum is" KILL STORIES" not "GETTING KILLED"...I enjoyed reading both your different threads i.e. GT mustang

The "Got Killed" stories are almost as good as the "Got A Kill" stories.
However, I do admit that a "Got Killed" story involving an 8 cylinder MBZ against a 4 cyl. Acura brought tears to my eyes. . .

If the car is not 100% to start with, it gives the type R a chance to win. This is what I blame the loss on, please keep us posted!

It is refreshing reading some "got killed" stories at least you know they have to be true but some just plain hurt to read..

That Type R pulled me harder than that GT Mustang did. What does that say about how quick that lil 4 banger goes. It's not slow and I'm dieing to see what it will do out in the trick. And if you guys want kills stories??? I have plenty I can post of with my TT Stealth, but this IS a Mercedes forum afterall. I will however be getting some kills with the SEC soon enough. It's running real strong and i just have to get the throttle issues taken care of with some time.

Is it a true Euro (Grey Market) 560 sec? How much AMG is in it (bumper kit)? The US version of 560sec was pretty slow with all the detuning for smog regulations and I don't think it even had 300hp. Euro version should have about 300hp but I am not certain. 560 sec is a big car too so I am not sure if you really had a chance. But I would take a 560sec over acura integra anyday. 560sec are just drop dead awesome looking.

It is a True German 560 SEC with the AMG package minus the motor. The Euro version has 300HP. The Type R integra does run high 14's stock by a regular driver and my friend can REALLY drive and his car isn't stock. The Type R is no regular everyday Integra. They do actaully perfrom to the hype of an Normal Aspirated small 4 cyl engine.

Thats how I knew I loved mercedes, when that movie came out, I fell in love with that car!

well if u lost to a gt mustang u'll be pulling low 15's and g35 is a fast low end car. I raced from a stop he took my by halfcar (race was to 65) from a 60 mile roll I just kinda ****ted on him. infinti is a infinti its never all around car. benz is.

I'm VERY anxious to take the car to the track. Since I ran the Mustang GT, I've had the throttle problem fixed so it open 100% instead of the usual 75% and can launch the car from 3K RPM with just a chirp of the tires starting in third and the car pulls in ALL gears. 1rst gear goes by sooo fast. We still need to d oa compression test and get the compueter analyzed. Getting 100% is the best thing we wanna do before hitting the local track. I have a feeling this might just be a shocker.
