W210 E55 vs 2005 Chrysler 300c
Was on my way to a supermarket with my wife and a friend when I saw two (yes, TWO) 2005 Chrysler 300c (the one with 340hp & 390lbsft HEMI engine) with single occupant playing...... one is still brand new (no plates) and the other one is still quite new... they passed me very fast (my speed was around 75 mph - I guess theirs was around 90-100mph).....
I decided to catch up.... and when I was about 3-4 car lengths behind w/ around 85-90mph I saw both of them floored their cars...... so I said to myself.... ah...... let's play. I was late about 1-2 secs (thanks to a car that cut me right before I floored my car)..... but it seems it's pretty easy for me to get closer with them....
I passed one (the no-plate) at around 100mph.... and was pretty close with the other one when I was about 115 mph with pretty crowded traffic around me and my wife started to scream like crazy (zig zag is always good for your adrenaline :P) so I slowed down
even though I'm pretty sure I could pass the other one before reaching 120mph
Pretty hard to believe that the HEMIs are not that fast... or is it because the driver of the no-plate one was hesitant to push his car.... or is it just because driving skill through the traffic?
Anyway.... I'm pretty happy with the results.... with 3 people and some stuff in the trunk (~450-500 lbs add'l load on the car) plus my A/C and traction is on..... my beast can still easily beat our step brothers.

Nice kill man, and although the Hemi's should be more powerful, but never under estimate your AMG

Sounds like fun!
Well , the same kind of thing happened to me yesterday when I was at the red light right behind a new CTS-V... I was not expecting a lot from my old AMG against that beast but when he floored it, I was able to keep up!! The car was brand new (with a dealer licence plate) and I think the guy was careful with the gaz pedal or shifting early... It was still ton of fun!
