2002 C32 Black/Charcoal

C32 (modded) v. SL600 (R129)

Had a fun run with a SL600 (V12, for you idiots out there). Previous body style. Nice looking car. He gave me a nice run from 50 to 90 in a substantially lower speed limit zone.

I pulled on him, but not that fast. Treehuggers Unite, and spank me for my bad behavior!

Anyways, the SL600 was pretty quick! Specs say it runs a 5.9 to 60 MPH stock, so I would guess it was modded. Got a big thumbsp-up and laugh from the SL600 driver. Cool race.

The older N/A V12's where alot slower then the new Bi-turbo 12's.

Also, those r129 SL600s weigh a good ~4500 lbs. so the V12 is really being used to move that car.

The big torque is what kept him close. From a roll, especially a faster roll-on race, the M120 motor really gets in the groove. Its definitely not a stoplight dragster with the huge weight disadvantage. Its pushing around 420lb/ft torque so the nearly 90 extra lb/ft kept him close being 900 lbs heavier. Brabus punches that motor out to 7.4L and gets 580lb/ft

5.9 was already good enough 5-6 years ago.

a 01-02 S600 tried my car when I first got the car. My bro was driving and we had three people in the car vs the middle age looking Caucasian driver and his wife. We pulled away fairly easy. I then look at guy when he pulled up next to us when we slowed down. He had this unbelievable look on his face. It was priceless.
