Yesterday at a car meet my freind brougt his 1999 740il and I just had to ask for the race. anyways this is how it started we agreed 40mph roll I beep 3 times and we go. we drive up on route 9 south, rolling at 40 mph. I beeped 3 times and floored it, in second gear I pulled on him by a car, when I switch to 3rd by the time I was at 120 I saw him at my back window. I had him by 5-10 cars I don't even know it was just distance distance distance. There is another car meet today, 9pm route 9 south at the patmark plaza. there is a mccdonald's standing right there. You can't miss it, its in marlboro NJ just give me a pm I'll give u direct directions.

You race from where to where? 120mph on Rt 9 is completely irresponsible. Do it late on 18S. There's usually a cop at the 9 & 520 intersection anyway or in the PNC bank parking lot across the street. And 9 has too many lights.

BTW that Pathmark and McDonalds is on 9 Northbound, not south.

hey come down I'll give you a heads up on the next car meet. we race like this. we come out of the plaza make a left. wait at the light to turn green. make the u-turn speed up to 40 and then gun it. and get off on the union hill exit.

How much power does the performance chip release into your S500? Cause the power advantage seem a little big too much.

I race an S500 with my all stock 1997 740iL before on the freeway. Rolling start at 65mph. I got the jump on him for 1 car length then went Neck to Neck until the governer on my 740iL stop me at 128mph and the S500 just shoot right by me. The guys was pretty **** cause its got a bigger engine but can't shake me off.

I'm sure it'll pass me at the top end due to the governer and displacement. But never thought I would hang with it until my governer kick in to stop the race.

I don't quite understand how you stood dead even with him...... I raced 2 740il 1 time before I got a chip and 1 time after I got a chip. Both times I took the 740iL with out a problem? were u using tiptronic? I'm not quite sure how you could have possibly been dead even....

I never driven a s500 before and that's the only time I race one. If s500 is so much faster then I wouldn't know. The only thing I know is that I was able to go neck to neck with it at the only time I raced one.
I guess its could be power by a :
- Bad Driver.
- Bad car condition/Bad owner.
- or may be its a re-badege one
