Recent "Kills"
I curious about recent kills that each of you might have. I just had a great encounter with a 2003 Corvette. I was all over that guy and just couldn't get a clear opening to really put some lengths on him. We did some jousting in traffic and I ended up soundly out accelerating him by 1 to 1 1/2 car lengths each time. I chose the speed at which we started and maintained about 3,000 - 3,500 rpm as a minimum before we hit it.
Current Car & Modifications:
2001 Mercedes Benz SL500
Speedtuning USA ECU Upgrade
EVOSport Underdrive Pulley Upgrade
K&N Air Cleaners
Bosch Platinum+4

Z06
Your assumption is correct. I did not see the red calipers of the Z06 nor any insignia.
I do have a certain black Z06 in my sights though. For now, it will have to wait until the Kleeman Stage II is installed.
Do you think that will even the playing field a little?

I can't believe with just pullies and a chip that you would "put lengths" on a 375hp Corvette that weights about 1000lbs less than your car. How much power do those pullies and chip give you? The M113 V8 motor puts down around 310hp stock right?

Ok, we'll be generous and give the SL500 350hp. It weighs in at a plump 4125 lbs. The 350hp Vette convertible weighs 3148 lbs. Give it a good run maybe... "put lengths" on it? Questionable.

Good comments!
I think all of your comments have merit. It is true that my modified SL500 has around 350 bhp. It is also true that the Corvette has about the same bhp and weighs almost 1,000 lbs less. The difference is that the driver of the Corvette had no idea how to drive his car. If it were all about specs, we could all just post our numbers and there would be no race. Anyone else have any comments? Also, I need suggestions on a great exhaust system for my car. Thanks!

Dynos
Actually, I do not have before and after dynos of my car. I took my car to Tyler Fuel Injection to have them dyno it on a MD250 and they could not proceed due to the lack of tie down points at the rear of the car. I will have to take my car to Dallas to have this done. I will post the results when I have it dynoed.
