Last night I was driving my son's '01 Mercury Mountaineer AWD 5.0 V8 when a pull up at a stoplight and some guy in a Toyota Solera or w/e convertible pulls up. Now figuring since I once beat a RX330 lol I gunned it when the light turned green. Thing about that car is it slowly gets up to 30-40 then really throws you back as it kicks into the next gear. This guy had about a car's length on me before we caught up with traffic. I love SUV racing, the 'Neer usually gets around 11-14 mpg around town... I must have burned at least half a gallon in that little race
