faulty fuel indicator
Hi guys a couple weeks ago I filled up my 2001 MB ML320. The indicator was at FULL after I filled her up. After a couple of miles driving it kept on going down, until it had read EMPTY. But eventually it went back up to its right fuel indication. For the past week the problem came back again and the indicator has stayed on empty ever since. I made an appointment with MB dealer but its not yet till 2 weeks from now. Should I just go in there early morning on one of these days and tell them its an emergency???One of my Dads friend says he does it all the time and they take care of him..What do you think? Should I do the same thing?

Are fuel senders on all 98-02 MLs bad??
I have about 80K on my 00 ML320, and the fuel guage has started to behave strangely off late...(since the past 5K miles or so).
I fill up, and then just after about 50 miles of driving, the guage drops to half...then stays there for the next 100 miles or so....and then correctly drops to the bottom through the next 150 miles...
wonder if I am in for the fuel sender too....
by the way, how much does it cost to replace one anyways?
