Question SRS airbag Warning wont go away

My GF drives a 2000 ML 430. She has taken the car in several times to get the problem fixed. It just came back from Fletcher Jones yesterday and she told me it turned on again today and she is taking it back tomorrow. Why is this and is it bad to just leave it be? Thanks

it may not be the airbags itself that are malfunctioning. Most common in MB's are the seatbelt buckle sensors that go awry and need replacing. Costs about $300-$350 for the sensor to be replaced.

What has the dealership done so far?

I have no idea but he keeps coming back from Fletcher Jones with the warning off and a few days later it turns back on. It's going back in today.
