Can someone with a very new W163 ML help pls
Hi
I'm trying to find the part number of the phone wiring loom on one of the latest (old shape) European MLs.
US ML's are different, so it needs to be a European one !!
If you have a ML without the phone kit, and would be so kind :-), can you wind the front right hand seat all the way forward, get a torch, and look under the seat.
There should be a blue connector, a couple of metal aerial connectors, and another multiway connector. If you follow the multiway connector, there may be a big white label on the loom it is on .. If so, can you look at the part number (starting A163 XXX XX XX) please , and post here
It needs to be one less than about a year old, as thats the ones fitted with the newer loom for the universal handset interface.
If the label isnt at that end, its sadly at the dash board end tucked behind the head unit ..

Ok, I found a 05 ML at the MB dealer, and looked under the seat (the cables are nicely cabletied to the rear of the seat mounting bracket), and the cable label is not at that end, so I guess its at the other end behind the dash .
So, if anyone is taking out the head unit in a ML, if they happen to remember to look, it would be nice to know the official part number
