Brakes?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Do you ever go off road. If so, resist the temptation of drilled or slotted rotors. Talking to a Porsche engineer about the very issue. He said that they didn't use drilled or slotted rotors on the Cayenne, as debris can get in and cause major damage. I have to imagine the AMG wagon has decent brakes. If you need more stopping power, I would suggest racing brake pads.

Separately, do you have big aftermarket wheels. If so, I doubt you go off road, but also, the extra rotational weight might be causing some excess strain on your brakes.

you could always try the flashy ones like me

I got mine at Brakeworld.com they have not been a dramatic increase in stopping power but they have lasted a long time and they look sweet behind my wheels.

Hmmm, I think I would skip the drilled rotors

It’s an OFF ROAD vehicle, not a Porsche. FYI: Porsche specifically said they didn't use drilled rotors on the Cayenne. Their testing found that foreign particles (stones, sand, etc) got into the holes while off road, and caused some pretty nasty problems.
Now, if you’re a highway only car, than expect your car to take more effort to stop in the same amount of distance, as you will have LESS surface area with these rotors. Drilled rotors are to reduce gas build up and keep the rotors cool, under heavy braking situations.

:p
