Recenty I just leased my 2002 ML320 and am deciding to put chrome wheels that are 1-3 inches bigger than the standred wheel that comes with the ml which is 17". So Does that mean i have to put other tires on the ML too for the chrome wheels or can i keep just keep the orginal? If i can not keep the original tires than can i just put 17" chrome wheels and still keep the orginal tires?

Thanks for the time please respond

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking.

If you put on 18, 19, or 20" wheels of course you will have to buy the correct tires for the wheels. There is no way to fit a 17" tire on a 18" wheel!

If you mean you are buying 17" wheels that are 1-3 inches WIDER, then perhaps (but it is unlikely) that you can keep the same tires. I personally doubt it is possible to fit more than 1" wider wheels without rubbing the wheel wells. I don't think it would be very safe, in any event, to have much wider wheels AND keep the same tire size - the tires will not stay seated on the rims.

ASirotovsky,

I'm not sure if you are pulling our collective legs or are really serious. In other words, this could be comical or tragic.

Let's assume it is a tragedy:
. jswedberg is absolutely right
. You are out of luck
. check the tires and wheels forum, it is sponsored by TireRack.com.

Let's assume it is a comedy:
. Not only is jswedberg absolutely right, he also is very polite
. You are out of your mind, "all your bases are belong to us." to you
. Do check the tires and wheels forum, the sponsors will appreciate your sense of humor.
