Rear Hatch Doesn't Lock - Recall?
The Rear Hatch on my 98 ML320 doesn't lock. All doors lock, alarm engages correctly, and I can hear a clicking noise from the hatch when the lock button is depressed, but the hatch isn't locked.
Has there been a recall on this?

I just went and looked it up online - there aren't any recalls on that, but here is a Service Bulletin (TSB) that might apply to your problem.
