1998 Ml 320 - Mcs

I am new to this forum and I am looking for some advice for my 1998 ML 320. I am searching for an MCS to replace my current radio, (standard Bose), and I am finding the pickings slim. Navigation is not necessary at this time but I do want to keep the option of adding that module in the future. Ebay is my normal search area. There are very few on ebay and the one currently available that fits my needs supposedly needs reprograming. A new unit is not an option because of the cost. Is reprogramming a unit like this doable and where could it be done? Any advice that can be offered here would be great!

My advice is not to buy an MCS i would go look at an after-market replacement. you can do a search here a few people have replaced their MCS with after market units from kenwood, pioneer ext. The advantage of after market is you can watch DVD's connect your Ipod, sat radio and just about anything else you can think of from backup cameras ext. they range in price from about $500-1699 is the most expensive one i was looking at. Most of the units that cost about 1 grand have Navigation built and just about everyone i looked at had Sat radio built in.

Thanks for your input, I'll look into some after market products and see what may be appropriate for my ML. I do wonder about the reprogramming of a MCS unit, does anyone know about that situation? I am still wondering about the unit on eBay and it's viability. Thanks!!
