A noise developed in the right front of my 2000 ML320. I thought is was the tires as they were pretty badly worn and the sound was almost like a "knobby tire" noise. I replaced the tires and the noise persists. I am thinking a wheel bearing or half shaft. I also replaced the rotors before the noise.

I have never heard this sort of sound other that 'nobby tires' road noise. Oh, and it starts around 40 mph and gets louder to 70 and levels off.
