Happy holidays everyone,
Problem (4 months ago):
I took my 2002 ML320, 54K miles, to the dealer because I get a heavy vibration when stopped at a light. The vibrations continue when accelerating as if it were struggling. The engine smooths out once I hit around 10mph and then runs normally. This comes and goes randomly and is accompanied by the check engine light going on. I though it was the fuel pump, but the dealer tells me that it was:
Service fix:
Cyl #3 was missfiring. Electircal test found ingnition coil #3 low output, so it was replaced along with coil wires. replaced spark plug#3 and decarbonized?. Nothing wrong with fuel.
This occurred again 2 months later but comes and goes every other day. It is in service now and they tell me a coil was loose...Will pick up ML Sat. to see it problem persists within next few days.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

yeah the problem, if u go to MB Manhattan, they just bust ur *****, I noticed, sometimes you ask them to change something, they say they'll change it and end up not changing it, OR if they said they changed it, they really didnt...I just bought my car in for service, and I told them the acceleration pedal was loose, they said "we changed it" and it was the same exact one, it was still loose....

Maf
I do go to Manhattan,,they said they fixed it before. I usually give them a laundry list when i go in. They say they fix it..usually about 75% of my requests.
Dont mean to be ignorant but ....What dos MAF mean?

Mass Air Flow
In order to inject the proper amount of fuel, the computer needs to measure the quantity of air flowing into the engine. The device which does this is called a mass air flow sensor, or MAF. It sits in the air flow between the air filter and the engine.
