ABS warning light

I own an ML 320 , C 240 and Audi TT
ABS warning light
Hi guys ,
I bought a used 1998 ML last year , and have been driving it only on weekend , yesterday i had to use a sudden brake an noticed that my ABS is not working .
Went to my local mechanic , just to found out that the cruise control and the ets is not working so changed the brake switch .
this fixed the cruse control and the ets but the abs is still on .
we also got a eeror message on the diagnose tool box ( return pump error ) .
Please guys any advise will be much appreciated.

Might need a new ABS pump and I also suggest you get a new mechanic if he released the car without doing the test to determine that all was working.
