hey guys I know we have a lot of different suspension threads out there...
But what luck is everyone having with those aftermarket set ups...
Im thinking about doing a set of Bilstein Shocks and a set of H&R lowering springs
are there any shock and spring combos that are giving softer rides then the factory set ups?

I have Bilsteins with H&R's on a bunch of my cars, and it's a good combo. The combo is progressive, and comfortable - and a very good system under load or at speed - but I do notice 'abruptness' or 'harshness' with those cars on things like speedbumps.
Eibachs tend to be a little bit softer in their street ride, and offer just a hal-inch or so less difference in a lowering application in my experience -- does Eibach make an ML ftiment?
I'd still go with the Bilsteins for the shocks though, they're a very well eingineered shock, and a set of Heavy Duty's is the perfect fitment for an ML (or any stock SUV) IMO. Without going to an adjustable coilover system, I can only think of a couple of other shocks out there that I like as much: Koni, and Ohlins.
You might check with Team ORC's webstie and see what they offer for aftermarket systems:
