2000 ML32

Skyview ups/downs

My ML32 is in the shop right now, and i had an idea to install skyview. Those who have skyview, do you have any suggestions? is it worth it? Thanks for all inputs...

These will not fit in the 02's. In previous years I believe it is not a dealer installed item and must have been ordered from the factory. In addition, from what I understand they were full of problems with the mechanism and rattles, etc.

'00 ML430; '00 C230K; '01 CL500 (passed along...)

the skyview busted while open when our '00 ML430 was only about 2 months old. it was in the shop for another 7-8 weeks, waiting for a complete replacement from Germany, and having the entire interior trimming (it was a scary sight) removed, and then reinstalled.

since then, it has worked great, never had any noise issues, and it's awesome driving with it open in So. Cal. i'm glad we have it

Be cautious

I am pretty sure adding a skyview will drasticly reduse the value of your auto because of the problems associated with them. Never as good as factory.
