Need advice
Hi,
I want to buy ML320, but as I have limited money I have to buy 2000-2002 used ML320.
I know that 2002 is better, but expensive too.
Is there any difference bitween 2000 2001 and 2002 in interior quality.
i dont like interior noises. As I know 98-99 have very noises interior.

The 02 is the firstwith the upgraded interior. If your budget for maint is limited I believe you are making a mistake with any MB. Non are inexpensive to maintain and they do not claim to be inexpensive to maintain. With limited funds stick with a mainstream US or Asian vehicle. As for interior noises, I do not understand where you got your info. I have had a 98 and an 02 W163 and all are about the same, quiet.

Im with sosh, if its limited funds you have, dont go with an MB product, toyota/ honda is your best bet.
Sosh, I think he means rattles and squeaks in which case Ill bet you hear more from older vehicles

You can find the 2002's still under the original warranty and then a CPO warranty will run for a year following this. I would have to agree with sosh and 55fanatic, MB repairs will eat you up. My 2002 had an coolant leak that was fixed under warranty...the clamp was faulty and under warranty. The new hose fell under maintanence which cost me $150. CPO warranties do not cover maintanence.

I like ML and I have to buy it.

My friends have 98 and 99 ML and both have interior rattles and squeaks.
So my question is :
Is any difference in interior rattles and squeaks bitween 2000 2001 and 2002 ML?
I have enough money to buy newer, but I live in country where is not safe to have very nice CAR.
So my only question is about interior rattles and squeaks .

Couple of suggestions, buy the latest and best equipped ML you can find. Only option that I would avoid is the lamina roof. Definitly buy an 02 or later and the roof I mentioned was not available past 02 or beyond. As for rattles and squeaks, these have never been a problem with any ML I have owned. If they occurr they are easy to correct, most of which are from the rear hatch. Another suggestion if you have security concerns re your place of residence, MOVE!!
