Catalyst recall, I just got both sides replaced

They did this at no charge.

They also found the following:

- Front differential leaking a bit quoted $580 to repair
- Sensor in transmission leaking quoted $160 to repair
- Asked how much to replace back springs with lowering ones I have quoted $780

I am going to perfom the above myself. Has anyone done the differential or the sensor in the transmission?

Thanks
Paul

Unfortunately, I only have 1 dealership in town. 180 is reasonable, but over 500 is robbery!!!!

diff seals should be no problem to replace, sensor also little problem. need new fluid I imagine, but thats reasonable.

why was there a recall on the cats? mine are below efficiency but still pass inspection, apparently the Star extended warranty only covers them to 80k miles, and im at 95k. it would be nice to have a recall to fix them for free.

Bad welds, they will check for free and replace if the welds are bad.

I have the same vehicle and got the notice early this year to take it in for a check. Did you have any symptoms?
