Brake squeal 02 ML500
Noticed recently that in reverse at slow speeds I get a loud squeal when applying the brakes. Worse when cold. Seems to be coming from one rear wheel. I have had disc brake cars since 1965 and have dealt with brake squeal before, but never just in reverse and never this loud. Anyone else experience this???

I lived in Chicago for the first 18 years of my life. I've worked on cars from back east. No thank you! Here in California, I don't have to worry about removing every part under the car with a torch. No rust barnacles here. Plus I remember bringing in cars during the winter, and having salt and chunks of brown slush drip down on me while working on the car. I also know what its like to grab a cold wrench with your bare hand, or worse, to bang your cold fingers. It hurts!

MB Tech: Can't blame you for that but Chicago is a lot worse than our area. Much worse in fact. My wife grew up there and some of her family still there.... Arliington Heights and Barrington. I unfortunatly get out there once in a while but try to avoid it in the winter
