Have post this thread in the C's forum, just want to see different opinions from both side.

Thanks

I think this really depends on your needs: if you want a functional 4matic sedan, the C240 is a nice choice. If you are willing to spend a couple thousand more and want an SUV with more space, the ML is the better choice.

Ditto,

Intended use will dictate which way you should go. We once looked at the C320 Wagon, but limited room in the back and cargo space directed us back to the M.

If you are talking about the C sedan VS the MClass, you really are looking at completely different uses and it will be difficult to rationalize the decision process as the two vehicles can't compare.

Of the 2 there is no question that the M will do more for you. If you want a very nice all wheel drive sedan and have the budget to do so I would go with the E class 4Matic.

Yes it depends on what you want to do with it. If you want an SUV that handles well *FOR AN SUV*, get the ML. But if you want something that's nimble and more tossable but with AWD, get the C class with 4Matic. I've had my ML for over 4 years and it's good at what I need it for, but it's not a sports car. I wouldn't consider tossing it around like you can a C class sedan.

Like everyone else has said, it depends on your intended use. I had a Nissan Pathfinder which worked well, and then I bought a E430 'cause my wife really wanted a sedan - I have 3 kids and guess what, the E still didn't provide the room the Pathfinder did for long trips with plenty of luggage. Even the Pathfinder with no 3rd row was becoming a big problem. I traded the Pathfinder for a ML430 with 3rd row and so far, it's proven to be a great bargain.
