4th Gear high rev
Hi guys.... well recently guys my wifes ML has been acting weird. Most of the times that she hits 4th gear the rpms raise up and it'll catch eventually. If you let off the gas and push the gas again the car engages into that gear but later again it'll do it again. Then she also has the check engine light on. The dealer said the reason for the check engine light is because the O2 sensors need to be replaced. As for the tranny it needs to be replaced. Somehow I don't trust what they're saying because for one they say it costs 5,800 bucks. If that's not robbery I don't know what is.
What you guys think it could be? MAF sensor perhaps or are we screwed? Could it be the throttle position sensor? If anyone could help me that would be great. I'm seriously wanting to get this fixed but I don't want to spend on something I really don't need. Thanks guys
