FSS Reset not happening
I just changed the oil on my 2000 ML320 and I'm having trouble with the FSS reset. Followed the procedure in the owners manual but,
instead of the 10k mile reading I get this code
3.2 in Temperature readout
41 1 in the Mileage readout.
Any idea of what this means. This is my third oil change at home and my second FSS reset. I change the oil and oil filter every 5k miles using Mobil 1 0 W40 and a Mann oil filter.
Thanks

I'm having similar problem.
Followed the instructions in the manual by the letter. Not resetting. Still shows -500 (I was overdue for this oil change).
One thing I noticed...
My manual says to switch ignition on while holding the knob.
I found in another forum a post that says to turn to position 2 while holding the knob.
Could that be the difference?

ML 500 gone, ML 320 gone, C230 kompressor, & Hummer H2
try it again...
1. Turn Switch --#2 Position.(just Before Start)
2. Press Odometer Button Twice.
3. Turn Switch --0 (off)
4. Press And Hold Odometer Button
5. Turn Switch--#2 Position
6. Continue To Hold Odometer Button Until Signal & 10k Will Appear.
Make sure ALL of your doors are closed when you guys do this. I reset mine last night on the 1st try..
