Hi thurr.

I was looking for a greeting area, but found none. So I guess this is it Just saying hi. This is my 2001 ML. Took the pic with my cell phone...because my digi-cam is MIA.

If you are wondering why everything is flipped...blame my cell phone. :p

I have done NOTHING to this because I'm getting a new ride soon.

Doh! Didn't realize that it was Illinois. We go there 3 times a year too. Looked like Virginia.

It must have been the backward pics.

As for replacing the ML, I posted a thread in the general discussions for some help. I actually really do love the ML. I didn't think I would, but it has grew on me. If the new ones didn't have the weird placement for the shifter...and if I could afford the Ml500 I would have considered the W164. My friend has a Black 430, same year as mine...and the difference in acceleration is amazing. Plus he has all the other cool stuff like an in-dash CD, Nav, etc. Mine is probably one of the most basic you'll ever find (although I do have a custom steering wheel cover!)

I have a 2000 ML320 and it is the base version too, no leather, no climate air, no power seats, no tint, etc. I did add the CD changer in the back and NAV - real easy to do on the 2000 MY. This car/truck does grow on you. My sister bought a Acura MDX and that drives/rides great, but the uniqueness of the MB makes it hard to get rid of. Hard to describe - its just the tactile feel of it, from the steering response, to the rigid sound of the doors latching shut. More power would be nice, but when I get 20-21 mpg on the highway, I can live with it.

hehe...with the way I drive, I doubt if I get over 15 mpg. Pushing it all the way to 5000 RPM before shifting, that's with manually shifitng...if I let the auto do its work it gets it up to 6500 rpm before shifting.

bad for car...fun for me.

Intersting note on the doors latching shut: I'm guessing the doors are pretty heavy, because I was in my friend's Mazda3, and swung open the door only to have it snap back at me...I didn't realise it was so light!

Hi!!!!!! I have Lincoln plates too....chicago here!

How did you get the right hand drive? Did you have it imported? I'm from london and we drive on the left and steering is on right...doesn't feel weird sitting on the right side and driving on the right?

BTW, I have an gold 01 430...perfect between 350-500 model.
