MB Canada vs. MB USA recalls

Has anyone had any luck getting MB Canada to honor any recalls from MB USA? I've already had to pay for my harmonic balancer and now my catalytic converter is faulty. I am under the impression that MB USA issued recalls (not technically recalls, since they weren't federally mandated) to owners for these failures.

This is very frustrating and I'd like to know if I have any options available to me regarding these problems. Thanks in advance.

Nope, They seem to apply the "recalls" or whatever the term is by market, even though the parts "recalled" on our cars are the exact same part number
If anyone on this board is able to clarify why they have this policy? I would like to know.
Maybe in the U.S. MB is given the option of doing a voluntary recall rather than being forced to?

My problem is that I live in the US, but my ML is Canadian-made...you'd think defective parts would be consistent in their failures, regardless of origin.

Your ML is U.S. made, It may be be a Canadian market car, but both U.S & Canadian market ML's are made in Alabama.
There are only small differences in vehicle spec's for the two markets.
MB checks for recall info by checking the vin#, since your ML was not originally for the U.S. market the U.S. recalls would likely not apply.

MB customers whether in US or Canada would recieve recall notices in the mail and according to VIN no.. I was told this by my SA after a trip to the service centre and trying to get them to have work done suggested by their DTB/TSB.
