Nav Issue - Sat reception

Been having an issue lately with the nav system on the ML - no matter where the car is, the (dvd) nav shows no satellites for about 5-10 minutes or so after startup (and as a result doesn't allow any address to be entered), then suddenly the sats pop back (and it works once I re-enter the address).

It was working perfectly until a few weeks ago, any ideas on what could be the problem?
