Question Drivers Airbag help

Is there a safe way to open the drivers airbag door cover? The leather material all around the airbag is coming up. To glue it back if I could open that door would make for a better job. Any ideas? thanks

Best bet would be to purchase a new airbag cover. I have never seen these come apart like you describe. Has it been opened or has the airbag ever deployed before??

No, not the airbag cover! The leather that is on the door is peeling away from around the airbag door.

Oh you mean the side airbag. Same issue, perhaps a new airbag door with new leather. Be careful fooling with this, Battery should be disconnected.

EFF YOU JACKIE
Battery doesn't need to be disconnected. The door panel comes off, and will not affect the Airbag. There are three screws in the door to remove the panel. Search the forum, someone here put the exact steps on how to remove it. After you remove it, use some good fabric, spray glue to tac it back down.
